Handmade Red Boro Lampwork on Black Fishbone Hemp Necklace
This is another delightful piece of wearable art, with handmade lampwork beads crafted by Grace Ma. This type of lampwork glass is called borosciliate, or boro for short, and it's the same type of glass used in Pyrex. Using this type of glass leads to some truly incredible color interactions, and you can see the depth of warm colors throughout this necklace. For my part, I used black hemp in a fishbone pattern, framing and showcasing these incredible beads. This is a one of a kind piece that is 15 inches long with a loop and knot closure.
